The Role: Head of Software Development - Inisoft

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Software Development to lead the technical vision and execution of software projects at Inisoft. This is a leadership role responsible for driving the design, architecture, and implementation of high-quality software solutions, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the development team.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Inisoft's customer experience solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical outcomes with business objectives. Your leadership will ensure the use of best practices, foster a culture of innovation, and encourage the continuous improvement of both people and products.

Head of Software Development Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of high-quality software solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.
• Oversee the refactoring and optimization of existing code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance business goals with technical execution, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement within the development team.
• Support the Head of Development in defining and enforcing development standards across the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Stay up to date with the latest .NET technologies, cloud architectures, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.
• Make key technical architecture decisions, guiding the team in adopting cutting-edge technologies.

Relationships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with operational clients, client support functions, and the Inisoft team

Managerial Responsibility

• Potential future line management responsibility for the development team.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C# .NET, Vue.js, and SQL.

Skills & Expertise

• Extensive hands-on experience with C# and the .NET Framework, with a strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Proven expertise in modern web technologies such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Solid experience in building and architecting solutions in Microsoft Azure, with expertise in microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor software development teams, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality and reliable software.

Position: Head of Development  -  Job Type: Full-time  -  Salary: £50,690 to £70,000 per year
