Compliance Audit Manager  -  UK (Remote) | Full-time | £50,000 to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

Europe’s fastest-growing infant milk brand is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Audit Manager. This is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing all internal, external, and supplier audit activity to ensure full compliance with global infant formula and baby food regulations, as well as the company’s own rigorous quality and food safety standards.

In this role, you will safeguard regulatory integrity across all manufacturing sites, Third-Party Manufacturers (TPMs), and suppliers—ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and consistency across international markets.

Audit Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive audit programme spanning internal operations, TPMs, and suppliers
  • Plan, lead, and execute internal, supplier, and TPM audits to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and international regulations (EU, FDA, CFDA, etc.)
  • Manage and maintain the audit schedule, ensuring timely completion and effective CAPA management
  • Provide oversight and coordination during third-party and regulatory inspections
  • Lead audit readiness initiatives across manufacturing sites
  • Identify compliance risks across manufacturing and supply chain processes; recommend and track corrective actions
  • Supervise, guide, and develop a team of auditors and quality specialists
  • Work cross-functionally with Quality, Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to address audit findings and enhance preventive controls
  • Support audit and compliance training across departments
  • Maintain Quality Technical Agreements (QTAs) with TPMs and suppliers
  • Create and maintain audit standards for supplier and TPM assessments
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, risk assessments, and trend analyses for senior leadership
  • Present key audit insights and KPIs during management reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement and introduce best practices to strengthen the audit programme

What You’ll Need (Essential):

  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline
  • 5–8 years’ experience in quality auditing within infant formula, dairy, or nutritional powder manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of global infant formula regulatory frameworks (EU Directive, FDA, SAMR China, Codex)
  • Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS / SQF) plus PCQI certification
  • Experience leading multi-site audits and managing CAPAs
  • Expert knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, traceability, and microbiological controls
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational leadership with the ability to influence across departments
