Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer who enjoys tackling complex challenges and bringing ambitious technology to life. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, prototyping, and optimising advanced electronic systems.

About Us

We are a growing technology company developing next-generation solutions in precision, sensing, and quantum-enabled systems. Backed by strong research foundations and recent major project wins, we’re expanding our team to help push the boundaries of advanced engineering. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving organisation, work with cutting-edge technologies, and make a meaningful impact.

This is not a “follow the manual” position. You’ll have the freedom to shape your work, collaborate across disciplines, and engage directly with real engineering problems. If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and enjoy being adaptable, proactive, and creative, we’d love to hear from you.

Electronics Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define electronic and system requirements.
  • Design, develop, and test low-noise analog and digital circuits.
  • Build and implement control and data acquisition systems.
  • Debug, refine, and optimise complex electronic hardware.
  • Integrate, validate, and support next-generation devices and systems.
  • Continuously improve both hardware and software solutions.

About You

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (PhD or Systems Engineering background is a plus).
  • 3+ years’ experience in electronics design and prototyping for high-performance or precision systems.
  • Strong skills in analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, and rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with high-frequency RF systems (GHz range) is highly desirable.
  • Background in advanced technologies—such as FPGA, sensing systems, or quantum-related applications—is an advantage.
  • Proficient with relevant programming languages and industry-standard design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
  • Start-up mindset: proactive, flexible, and hands-on.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £40k + bonuses
  • Milestone bonuses: Twice yearly (£3.4k each)

Share options

  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Opportunities for international travel

Benefits:

  • 26 days annual leave + company shutdown over Christmas/New Year
  • Flexible working hours (10am–4pm core hours)
  • Regular team activities, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Annual performance and salary review
