Head of Finance at Eat Work Art
Location: Netil House, Hackney (Hybrid Remote)
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Department: Finance
Reports to: CEO

The Role:
We’re looking for a commercially-minded, fully qualified Head of Finance to lead our finance function during an exciting period of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll oversee all financial and commercial matters across the business, and guide a small, capable finance team.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll play a critical part in financial planning, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Leadership: Oversee the finance department, providing leadership to a small team. Ensure the team’s growth and performance through development and workflow management.
Financial Reporting: Prepare annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries. Lead the production of monthly management accounts and provide valuable financial insights to stakeholders.
Strategic Financial Planning: Drive long-term financial planning, including cash flow forecasting, both short and long-term.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, track budgets across departments, and conduct regular budget reviews.
Financial Guidance: Provide high-level advice on VAT, asset management, and compliance issues. Be a key partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, delivering strategic commercial insights.
External Liaison: Work with brokers and external partners to manage financing and funding requirements for the company.
Essential Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS)
Strong technical proficiency in Excel
Experience with Sage 200 or similar finance/ERP systems
Hands-on leadership with prior senior management experience
Proven ability to manage or lead small finance teams
Commercially astute with excellent judgment and strategic thinking
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
