This newly created Programme Manager position provides strategic leadership for the delivery and continuous improvement of complex IT initiatives built around Microsoft technologies—including cloud platforms, infrastructure, and productivity solutions—for our largest and longest-standing enterprise customer.
You will drive enhancements to project delivery frameworks and methodologies while developing and strengthening key strategic relationships. Acting as a trusted partner, you will reinforce our position through effective programme governance, thoughtful planning, robust reporting, and high-quality delivery.

Programme Manager Team Leadership - Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow the project delivery team by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and promoting continuous learning.
- Provide regular feedback, support career development, and ensure team alignment with organisational objectives.
- Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with enterprise clients and senior internal stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership across all engagements to drive positive outcomes and long-term value.
Communication Strategy
- Develop and execute clear communication strategies that support alignment and engagement at all levels.
- Promote openness and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Methodology & Delivery
- Design scalable, efficient delivery processes that support high-quality project execution and the growth of our professional services practice.
- Lead the development and continuous refinement of a robust, end-to-end delivery framework.
- Project Risk & Change Control
- Implement rigorous risk management processes to ensure compliance with internal governance and client requirements.
- Manage scope and change control proactively to protect commercial objectives and prevent delivery overruns.
Resource Management
- Oversee strategic resource planning and allocation to ensure optimal performance and successful delivery.
- Align team capabilities with the project pipeline to maintain efficiency and responsiveness.
Project Performance & Reporting
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project outcomes reflect strategic business priorities.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor delivery health, timelines, and financial performance.
- Ensure all project activities demonstrate measurable value and cost-efficiency.
Commercial Management
- Provide oversight of commercial governance across all project activities, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Deliver clear management reporting on project utilisation, profitability, and performance trends.
- Identify opportunities for optimisation and drive continuous improvement to enhance commercial outcomes.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile/Scrum).
- Experience in an IT Consultancy or Managed Service Provider environment.
- Hands-on experience delivering projects within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success in managing staff, including onboarding, performance management, and development.
- Proven experience leading teams through change and scaling complex project delivery functions.
- Experience in customer strategic planning, delivery oversight, and reporting across a project portfolio.
- Strong understanding of project financial governance, including budgeting, scope control, and forecasting.
- Excellent project and resource planning skills with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
