We are a leading London-based digital marketing agency, specialising in SEO, PPC, and website design. We partner with businesses of all sizes to deliver impactful results, blending creativity, passion, and a sharp commercial focus into everything we do. As we continue to grow rapidly in both headcount and the variety of clients we work with, we are looking for a Head of Project Management to join our team.
Who Are We Looking For?
As Head of Project Management, you’ll take full ownership of the planning, execution, and delivery of all design and development projects across the agency. This senior, hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with solid agency experience managing web projects, from simple templated builds to complex, high-value bespoke platforms.
You’ll work closely with the founding team, head of design, developers, and the wider delivery team to ensure that projects are commercially viable, well-scoped, and delivered to an exceptional standard. Given the variety of project sizes, budgets, complexities, and sectors, we’re looking for someone who has a deep, practical understanding of web design and development within an agency environment and can adapt to shifting priorities with clarity and structure.

- Project Delivery: Ensure each client project has a well-defined delivery schedule, with agreed milestones, dependencies, and responsibilities, actively managing these throughout.
- Sprint Management: Lead sprint planning and delivery for design and development teams, structuring work into clear phases and maintaining momentum.
- Resource and Workload Management: Actively manage team capacity and resource allocation across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and third parties to ensure smooth, on-time, and profitable delivery of every project.
- Asana Ownership: Champion the use of Asana, ensuring schedules, sprint plans, and resource allocation are accurately maintained, and workflows are continuously improved.
- Upselling and Cross-selling: Proactively identify and act on upsell and cross-sell opportunities, clearly defining scope changes and charging for them as requirements evolve.
- Client Experience: Ensure an outstanding client experience at every touchpoint, protecting Yellowball’s reputation for excellence.
- Commercial Accountability: Take full responsibility for project-level commercial performance, ensuring margin and billable hour targets are met or exceeded.
- Internal Projects: Oversee critical internal projects, including product/service launches, marketing initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Business Support: Contribute to broader business priorities, using the autonomy of the role to drive high-value opportunities.
- Exceptional Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce sharp, on-brand copy when required.
Key Requirements:
- Agency Experience: At least 3 years’ experience managing web projects within an agency environment.
- Client Management: Confident in managing clients and senior stakeholders, with the ability to quickly build trust and handle complex conversations.
- Highly Organised: Excellent at managing deadlines, expectations, and competing priorities.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working with a wide range of clients, sectors, and project types.
- Digital Knowledge: A genuine interest in digital, web design, and development within an agency setting.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of how agencies operate, deliver, and scale.
