Chiller Engineer (ID: kVxTUcdm)

A well-established building services and facilities management contractor is looking for an experienced Chiller Service Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites across London and the surrounding areas.

This is a secure, long-term opportunity offering manufacturer-supported training, exposure to large-scale commercial plant, and clear progression for engineers specialising in chillers and cooling systems.

The Role:

• You will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across a range of commercial chiller systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on chiller equipment
• Diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
• Service, maintain, and repair:
• Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
• Scroll, screw, and centrifugal compressors
• Process cooling systems
• Close control/precision cooling equipment
• Associated pumps, valves, and control systems
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, and refrigerant charging
• Work with refrigerants including R134a, R410A, R407C, R404A, and low-GWP alternatives
• Complete detailed service reports, F-Gas records, and statutory compliance documentation
• Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts, and helpdesk teams
• Ensure all work complies with:
• F-Gas regulations
• Health & Safety legislation
• Company and site-specific procedures
• Participate in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6 or 1 in 8)

About You (Essential)

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Chiller Engineer or HVAC Engineer with strong chiller expertise
• F-Gas Category 1 certification
• Demonstrable fault-finding experience on commercial chiller systems
• Strong working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical components
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Manufacturer training (e.g., Carrier, Trane, Daikin, York, Mitsubishi)
