Finance Manager – Technology Finance
A leading organisation at the forefront of the retail and technology sectors is looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to support its Technology Finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role as a strategic partner to senior technology stakeholders, influencing critical investment decisions that drive innovation and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Technology leadership and FP&A teams to lead strategic and annual planning cycles, aligning capital and operational priorities across the business.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to technology leaders, providing data-driven insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Evaluate and challenge technology investments, ensuring strong financial governance and clear value creation across a diverse portfolio.
- Communicate complex financial insights to senior executives within both Finance and Technology teams.
- Take ownership of the financial performance of a broad investment portfolio, monitoring key metrics and balancing project and operational resourcing.
- Review business cases for new technology spend, ensuring cost efficiency and clear business benefits.
- Work with Control and FP&A teams to create impactful management reports and leadership presentations.
- Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support innovation and strategic decisions.
- Assist with governance forums like the Investment Committee and Technology Approvals Group to ensure effective capital allocation.
- Drive cost efficiencies across the Technology function, fostering a culture of cost awareness and continuous improvement.
- Lead the simplification of the finance operating model throughout the capital lifecycle processes.
The successful Finance Manager will have:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- A solid understanding of Technology and its financial drivers.
- Experience in CapEx analysis and project-based financial planning.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities at senior levels.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with the Technology function and its key drivers is a plus.
